Jefferson County Fair

For a week in July each year, 4-H and FFA youth in Jefferson County have an opportunity to share and showcase the projects they’ve been working on all year at the Jefferson County Fair. CCE is proud to partner with the Jefferson County Agricultural Society, Jefferson County FFA, and our community volunteers to provide this educational, hands-on experience to our youth participants.

The Jefferson County Fair will be held July 9-14, 2024!

Why Youth Fairs?

County and state fairs might be the most recognizable element of the 4-H program. Fair is the culmination of weeks, months and even a year’s worth of learning, creating and discovering through 4-H experiences. Through 4-H projects, youth learn leadership skills, empathy, teamwork, character building, communication skills and more. Showing their projects at fair helps to develop their social and interview skills. Youth can cultivate lifelong interests and/or careers based on their participation in 4-H. During times of excitement or disappointment, youth learn things such as good sportsmanship, managing their feelings, and caring for others.
